The same group of doctors also run the medical centres in Darley Dale and Youlgrave and it is sometimes possible to arrange an appointment at one of those centres if the Winster times are unsuitable for you.

Winster Surgery does its own dispensing, but if you need a Chemists at other times, the nearest Chemist's is on the A6 in Darley Dale. There are also Chemists in Matlock and Bakewell.

I have failed to find any online "Out-of-hours rota" for the area, so the best I can do is suggest you try calling the three Matlock pharmacies which share the duties; Manor Pharmacy 01629 57924 or 55644 or Boots on 01629 582189. The "extra" hours are 5.30pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, and 12 noon to 1pm on Winter Sundays and Bank Holidays. Boots in Matlock opens 10am to 4pm on Summer Sundays.

Boots at Church Farm in Ripley (01773 748192 DE5 3TF) are open until midnight Monday-Saturday.
