Information about Winster in the Derbyshire Dales
for residents and visitors
The following information is provided in the event that the Swine Flu Virus has a major impact on Winster. A system has been set up to enable residents in the village who are too ill to travel or do not have transport to pick up their medication from the designated antiviral collection point, to call on the volunteers listed below:
The volunteers will need to collect a form of I.D. from the patient prior to collecting the medication from the Antiviral Collection Point.
It would be advantageous to take a form of Identification (ID) that has the patients Full Name and Date of Birth, such as a driving Licence or a Passport, together with detail of the Unique Reference Number (URN) or GP Voucher.
The patient’s telephone number is also required in case of any queries. URN Numbers are supplied to patients who have been assessed by the National Flu Line.
GP Vouchers are supplied to patients by their Doctor. This will happen because they have seen their GP or because they have been previously assessed via the National Flu Line. (Patients are only allowed to be given one URN)
