Cecil Sharp weekend - Winster re-enacts the
visit of Cecil Sharp to the village in 1908. Cecil arrived by steam
train at Darley Dale station before alighting and travelling up the hill
to Winster in a horse and carriage. Teams joining in the celebrations
include Abingdon, Bampton, Eynsham, Heddington Quarry, Illmington and
Thaxted with representatives from hosts of other teams from around the
country.
